Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering

Overview:

We are looking for a Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering to join our team as the Engineering Project Manager.  If you are motivated and a hardworking individual who has experience on a wide variety of projects and want to find a place to land your career, then this is for you. You will need to be flexible and able to work with younger engineers who are willing to learn.

 

This Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering will be expected to manage projects and create designs on various projects. A quick thinker and exceptional problem solver will excel on our team. Previous experience in transportation design, geotechnical quality assurance testing, watershed design, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, permitting through the U.S. Corps of Engineers, and State Environmental Agencies. Some field work required. Some out of town work may be required.   Crane Environmental Services, LLC works to develop lines of business compatible with team members’ strengths and experience.

 

Responsibilities:

This career position will include:

  • Project management on an ever-changing variety of projects.

  • Engineering design.

  • Client development through effective communication.

  • Ensure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the contracted scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Provide on-going client and regulatory agency communication throughout the project.

  • Successful delivery of assigned projects on time.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience.

  • Professional Engineers License in Indiana.

  • Professional Engineers License in Kentucky a plus.

  • INDOT Level 1 SWQM or CPESC Certifications a plus.

  • Ability to working well independently.

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficient in the use of CAD or GIS.

  • Good technical writing skills.

 

 

Salary is commensurate with experience. $80,000 - $110,000 Crane Environmental Services, LLC offers medical insurance, disability insurance, retirement, paid vacations, and bonuses. 

Construction Material Field Testing Engineer/Technician – Indianapolis, IN Area

 

Overview and Responsibilities:

 

The Construction Material Field Testing Engineer/Technician position is a full-time position that requires the ability to repeatedly lift heavy equipment (50 to 70 lbs) used in performing Construction Materials Testing (CMT).  The work will be outdoors in all weather conditions and will be around heavy equipment.  Long hours, some nights, and weekend work may be necessary at times with overtime pay. Seasonal from February/March to November 2022. 

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma with good math, writing, and communication (English) skills minimum.

  • 2-year Engineering Technology Associates Degree or a 4-year Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Degree preferred.

  • Geology degreed individuals may apply as well.

  • Experienced CMT Engineer/Technician with concrete and soils testing certifications a plus.

  • Ability to pass written exams and pass field proficiency tests for INDOT Certification necessary.

  • Must be able to understand specifications and read construction drawings.

  • Must be a hard worker that is reliable and takes responsibility seriously.

  • Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel and Word a must. 

  • The ability to write detailed daily reports necessary.

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record a must.

  • Must be able to pass initial and random drug testing.

  • Ability to pass background checks.

 

This is great opportunity for an experienced CMT professional who is looking for stable employment on a single project from year round.  It is also a great start for a recent college graduate to gain experience in CMT and observe all aspects of highway construction.  Transition from the field to the office is possible if desirable.    

 

Salary will be commensurate with level of education, experience, and current certifications starting at $18.00 per hour.

 

Civil or Environmental Engineer Position

 

Overview:

 

We are looking for a Project Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our team. If you are motivated and a hardworking individual who is looking for experience on a wide variety of projects and want to find a place to land your career, then this is for you. You will need to be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.  

 

This Project Engineer will be expected to manage projects and create the designs on various project types. A quick thinker and exceptional problem solver will excel on our team. Previous knowledge and experience in erosion control, watershed design, transportation design, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Stome Water Quality Control Plans (SWQCPs), and permitting through the U.S. Corps of Engineers, and State Environmental Agencies is preferred. You will be working at times as a Construction Material Field Testing Engineer which requires the ability to repeatedly lift heavy equipment (50 to 70 lbs) used in performing Construction Materials Testing (CMT).  Work will involve being outdoors in all weather conditions and around heavy construction equipment.  Some out of town work in the Indianapolis area will be required.   Crane Environmental Services, LLC works to develop lines of business compatible with team members’ strengths and experience.
